Meet Our Staff
Grace Centola, PH.D., HCLD/CC/ALD (ABB), Tissue Bank Director
Dr. Grace Centola is a national and internationally recognized specialist in clinical laboratory andrology and clinical male infertility. Dr. Centola received a Ph.D. from Georgetown University in 1978, and has served on the faculty of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (Bethesda, MD), SUNY Upstate Medical Center (Syracuse, NY), and the University of Rochester (Rochester, NY). Dr. Centola is board certified as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (H.C.L.D.), Clinical Consultant (CC) and Andrology Laboratory Director (ALD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis.
Jeff Olliffe, M.D. Medical Director
Dr. Jeff Olliffe conducts the initial and follow-up exams for our donors. He also works alongside our geneticist in the process of approving candidates into our program. Dr. Olliffe is a Member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Washington State Medical Society, the King County Medical Society and affiliates with Swedish Medical Hospital. Dr. Oliffe is a precept/instructor at the University of Washington Department of Family Medicine and has an affinity for bringing fertility options to those who are biologically incapable of producing offspring.
Christine, Donor Coordinator
Christine received both her B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University. After graduating, Christine worked for a medical device company in Phoenix, AZ. Her technical aptitude and years of customer service experience make her a crucial member of the Phoenix Sperm Bank team where she acts as the main point of contact for Phoenix donors. Aside from working with donors, Christine also assists in lab procedures and setup.
April, Front Desk Receptionist
April is the first point of contact upon visiting our office. She welcomes our donors upon arrival with a warm smile and is always happy to answer any questions. Prior to joining Phoenix Sperm Bank in 2017, she transitioned her professional career from the technology industry working in sales and customer support. With her interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and positive attitude, she makes a great fit within the team. In addition to managing the front desk and administrative duties, she also assists in donor recruitment. April considers herself a student of life and enjoys informally studying an array of topics including mindfulness, psychology, and neuroscience in her free time. Along with expanding her knowledge, April can be found volunteering within her community, attending improvisational classes, deepening her meditation practice, and spending time with her dog.
Ashley K, Biological Analyst
Ashley earned her B.S. in Biology, with an emphasis in genetics, from Arizona State University. During this time, she developed a passion for microbiology and conducted research on the classification of Amazonian microbes. Prior to working for Phoenix Sperm Bank, Ashley worked as a Clinical Specialist in the record review department of a blood laboratory. Her attention to detail and experience handling a high volume of data has provided her with the skills to ensure that all vials are produced with integrity. In her spare time, she loves to draw and enjoys volunteering at local food banks.
Ashley M, Biological Analyst
Ashley obtained her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Northern Arizona University, where she discovered her interest in microbiology. After working in various laboratory and medical settings in Flagstaff, Ashley decided to move back down to Phoenix where she joined the Phoenix Sperm Bank team. As a member of the laboratory team, she is responsible for various internal quality control and assurances to ultimately ensure the product meets the standard of excellence held by the Seattle Sperm Bank.
